摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ECU 10 as a control device of an engine 1 capable of improving accuracy in calculating a cetane value while stabilizing an operating state of the engine 1.SOLUTION: A delayed injection angle &thetas;r is calculated while considering a delay angle amount of a fuel injection timing of one cylinder Ai, on the basis of a rotational velocity V of an engine 1, an increase amount &Dgr;Q of an injection amount Qi as a fuel injection amount of one cylinder Ai necessary for keeping the rotational velocity V of the engine 1, is calculated on the basis of the delayed injection angle &thetas;r, the injection amount Qi of one cylinder Ai is increased simultaneously with delaying of the fuel injection timing of one cylinder Ai, and a cetane value C of the fuel is calculated on the basis of the rotational velocity V of the engine 1, the increase amount &Dgr;Q of the injection amount Qi of one cylinder Ai, and the total increase/decrease amount &Dgr;Qtotal(i) of an injection amount Qj as a fuel injection amount of the other cylinder Aj of which the injection amount Qi is increased or decreased due to increase of the injection amount Qi of one cylinder simultaneously with delaying of the fuel injection timing of one cylinder Ai.
