PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent hybrid coating and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A transparent hybrid coating which is excellent in adhesiveness, transparency, water/oil repellency, droplet removability, fingerprint adhesion resistance, antifouling property, corrosion resistance, weather resistance, mildew resistance, an antibacterial property, and mobility of a functional group originating from an organic silane in the coating, is obtained by applying a precursor solution obtained by cohydrolyzing and condensation polymerizing the organic silane and a metal alkoxide in a solution including an organic solvent, water, an additive, and optionally a catalyst, wherein a distance between the organic silanes is controlled, to a solid surface of a substrate, and subsequently leaving the solid surface standing for a predetermined time at room temperature and under atmospheric pressure. A method for producing the transparent hybrid coating, and the solid surface thereof are also disclosed. A new surface modification technique to stably impart excellent characteristics such as water/oil repellency, droplet removability, fingerprint adhesion resistance, an antifouling property, corrosion resistance, weather resistance, mildew resistance, an antibacterial property to the substrate surface for a long term and a product of the technique are provided while maintaining characteristics of the substrate. |
