PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for an engine capable of reducing horsepower loss by reduction of passage resistance of a cooling water passage.SOLUTION: A cooling device for an engine includes a thermostat case 1, a thermostat 2, and a thermostat cover 3. The thermostat 2 is stored in the thermostat case 1, and the thermostat cover 3 is attached to the thermostat case 1, and has a cooling water outlet pipe 3a. The cooling device for the engine further includes a spiral cooling water guide plate 4, and the spiral cooling water guide plate 4 is formed along an inner periphery of the cooling water outlet pipe 3a with a center axis 3b of the cooling water outlet pipe 3a as a rotational center. A flat cooling water guide plate 5 may be used instead of the spiral cooling water guide plate 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
