An image acquisition system and an image acquisition method. The system comprises: a pan-tilt having a drive support mechanism; an image acquisition module, which acquire images for performing image splicing and comprises at least two image acquisition devices, wherein the at least two image acquisition devices are fixed on the drive support mechanism and are arranged in parallel in a horizontal or vertical direction, and their lenses are prime lenses and have the same focal length; a distance acquisition module, which acquires the distance between a shot object and the image acquisition module; a processor, which according to the view angle of the distance and the image acquisition device in the horizontal or vertical direction, calculates the width of the shot object that can be shot by one of the at least two image acquisition devices in the horizontal or vertical direction, and according to the width, calculates a relative rotation angle of the at least two image acquisition devices in the horizontal or vertical direction; and a controller, which controls the rotation of the image acquisition device according to the relative rotation angle. |
