PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for communicating with a remote place in a sensation facing a person in a near distance by imaging the person by using a plurality of imaging means.SOLUTION: A remote communication system includes a projector 101 for projecting an image transmitted from a remote place to a screen 103. A plurality of front cameras 104a-104c are arranged on the screen 103, and a CPU executes extraction processing for extracting a person section from respective images obtained by the plurality of front cameras and synthesis processing for synthesizing a plurality of images obtained by the plurality of front cameras. The remote communication system further includes a projector 111 for projecting an image processed by the extraction processing and the synthesis processing to a screen 113 installed in the remote place.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
