PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active energy ray curable composition less in volume shrinkage during curing and excellent in active energy ray curability and a block copolymer useful as a component of the composition.SOLUTION: There are provided a manufacturing method of a block copolymer having a conjugated diene polymer block and a (meth)acrylic polymer block, including a first process of anion polymerizing conjugated diene and a second process of adding a tertiary organic aluminum compound having a chemical structure represented by the formula (1) in a molecule, at least one kind of Lewis base selected from ether and tertiary polyamine and a monomer containing dimethacrylate represented by the formula (3) to a system with which the first process is conducted and anion polymerizing and an active energy ray curable composition.
