PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a camber angle of an automobile and an apparatus therefor, which enables a quick and precise measurement of the camber angle without applying the same load as the finished state automobile to a wheel mounting part, and which can improve productivity. SOLUTION: The inclination angle in the width direction of the automobile with respect to the horizon of a body 2 in a suspended state by a hanger 1 is detected as the posture angle. The body 2 is suspended by the hanger 1, and the wheel mounting part 5 is raised to the position at a prescribed height. The position and the camber angle of the rising wheel mounting part 5 are measured. The measured camber angle is corrected on the basis of the posture angle. The camber angle at the position of the wheel mounting part 5 in the state in which the automobile is finished is calculated from the corrected camber angle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
