PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column for a chromatograph used to separate quantities of specimens with its separative power kept high. SOLUTION: This column 3 for a chromatograph is equipped with a honeycomb substrate 1, and a separation phase 2 packed in specimen flowing holes 1a in the honeycomb substrate 1. Preferably, the separation phase 2 is formed of an inorganic porous skeleton provided with open air holes and the porous skeleton is a porous skeleton produced by gel-sol transition accompanied by phase transition.
