VALVE TIMING ADJUSTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjusting device capable of preventing fluctuation of the rotation phase of a driven shaft with respect to a drive shaft due to action force to a phase changing mechanism. SOLUTION: The phase changing mechanism 10 is composed of a first rotary member 11 synchronously rotated with the drive shaft, a second rotary member 16 synchronously rotated with the driven shaft, a first arm member 28 linked with the first rotary member 11 as a turning pair, and a second arm member 29 linked with the second rotary member 16 and the first arm member 28 as a turning pair. The phase changing mechanism 10 converts motion of the first arm member 28 and the second arm member 29 under control of a control means into relative rotary motion of the second rotary member 16 to the first rotary member. The rotation phase of the driven shaft to the drive shaft is thus changed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
