PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an engine, preventing cause of misfire, improving the fuel consumption and promoting NOx reduction and further reducing torque variation by increasing EGR quantity during the rich period during the air fuel ratio feedback control. SOLUTION: This control device of an engine performs the EGR control for returning the exhaust gas to a combustion chamber of each cylinder on the basis of the rotational frequency and load of the engine having two or more cylinders. When it is determined that the fuel supply quantity is corrected by increase during the feedback control, the reflux of exhaust gas under the EGR control is increased as compared with that in the determination of correction by decrease (53, 54).
