PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fitting which is inexpensive and free of variance, and in which performance is stable, and a manufacturing method of the terminal fitting. SOLUTION: A male type contact part 10 provided with a plurality of piercing pieces 17, a female type contact part 20 provided with a plurality of piercing pieces 27, a crimping connection part 30 to crimp an electric wire, and a pressure contact connection part 40 to pressure bond the electric wire are formed in separate bodies respectively. Then, one of the male type contact part 10 and the female type contact part 20 and one of the crimping connection part 30 and the pressure contact connection part 40 are selected according to usage, coupling parts 13, 22 of the selected electric contact parts 10, 20 and the coupling parts 34, 44 of electric wire connection parts 30, 40 are overlapped, and furthermore by caulking the coupling parts 34, 44 by a plurality of piercing pieces 17, 27, both are joined.
