<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make order of processing of a printing job which is stopped once and is started again easy to understand. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of printing data are received from a host computer connected through a network. The printing data received are temporarily stored as printing jobs. The printing data stored are printed successively. A request for temporarily stopping of printing and a request for starting again to the printing job are received. Execution of the printing job is controlled in accordance with the request for temporarily stopping of the printing and the request for starting again. When the request for starting again on the printing job during temporarily stopping is received, the printing job is printed by determining an order of the printing according to a set condition (whether it is an original order, at the last, at the first or an indicated order).
