PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel protein comprising an anti-CD14 antibody and a protease-inhibitory substance, a polynucleotide encoding the novel protein, a method for producing the novel protein, and a preventive and therapeutic agent, etc., for sepsis comprising the novel protein.

SOLUTION: Disclosed is a protein comprising (I) an anti-CD14 antibody or an active fragment thereof or a derivative of the antibody or fragment and (II) a substance inhibiting a protease or an active fragment thereof or a derivative of the substance or the fragment.
