The invention relates to a two-stage or three-stage spur gear drive which comprises a one-piece housing (1), having a drive-end cover opening and an adjacent closing cover (3) closing said opening, an output shaft (16), carrying an output pinion (6) between two bearings (8, 10), and an intermediate shaft (14), carrying an intermediate pinion (13) which is directly or indirectly driven by an input pinion (7), an intermediate pinion (15) meshing with the output pinion (6) and which is received by intermediate shaft bearings (22, 25) which are adjacent to the intermediate pinion (15). The intermediate shaft bearings (22, 25) which are adjacent to the intermediate pinion (15) are disposed in a chamber (5a) of the housing (1) at the output end which is preferably not undercut towards the assembly opening. A third intermediate shaft bearing (17) is disposed in the bearing bore (18) of the cover (3). The latter is centered relative thereto along a dividing joint that extends perpendicularly to the axial direction. |
