Provided are bristle brush rollers (40A and 40B) having bristles implanted on their surfaces. A gap exists between the bristle brush rollers (40A and 40B) and reading surfaces of scanners (30A and 30B) for allowing a medium (2) to pass through. When transfer rollers (20A to 20E) transfer the medium (2) in the medium transfer direction, the bristle brush rollers (40A and 40B) regulate a surface opposite to a to-be-read surface of the medium (2) in order to guide the medium (2). |
