PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary singing contents to be synthesized by operation of an operator during singing synthesis.SOLUTION: Sequence data where pitches of notes constituting a musical piece, phonetic symbols of sounds to be produced in accordance with the notes, and their volumes are mapped on a time base is stored in a sequence data storage area. A readout control unit 224 reproduces sets of phonetic symbols, pitch data, and volume data from the sequence data and sends synthesis unit data corresponding to the phonetic symbols and the pitch data to a pitch conversion unit 226 and sends the volume data to a volume control unit 228 to synthesize time series data representing a singing voice. In this case, an actual reproduction position management unit 223 controls the reproduction operation of sequence data in the readout control unit 224 in accordance with operation of an operator.
