PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience in operation of a user by displaying a wider operation screen than an operation screen of at least one of merchandise registration processing and settlement processing on peripheral equipment in the case of singly using a transaction processing device by a simple operation without requiring any complicate setting operation.SOLUTION: A transaction processing system includes: a portable transaction processing device having a display unit, capable of executing at least one of a settlement application and a task application by using the display unit; and a docking device connected to at least one peripheral equipment to be used for the settlement application or the task application such that the transaction processing device can be mounted and removed. The peripheral equipment is configured as an external display having a larger display area than the display unit, and the transaction processing device is configured to cause the external display to switch and display the operation screen of the settlement application or the task application displayed at the display unit via the docking device according as the docking device is mounted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
