PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stuck dimming filter lens and a method of manufacturing the same such that even if a filter lens has its surface damaged, there is no influence on a coating layer and the surface is re-processed to eliminate the damage to the surface.SOLUTION: There is manufactured a filter lens that is constituted by uniting, via an adhesive, coating surfaces of first and second dimming filter lenses having a transmissivity of 50% or less on the whole by coating one side of each of first and second filter lens substrates with a metal material by a method such as vacuum vapor deposition, ion plating, sputtering, etc., polishing both outer surfaces of the united stuck dimming filter, and further coating them with coats having additional value such as reflection prevention etc. Even if the filter lens surface is damaged, the filter lens maintain a transmissivity to light on the whole, and the damage to the surface can be eliminated by polishing the surface again and further coating the surface with a coat having additional value, for example, an antireflective coat.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
