PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise eliminator capable of effectively eliminating noise by interference received from peripheral pixels. SOLUTION: This distortion eliminator has a pixel extractor 101 which extracts a noticing pixel and peripheral pixels of the noticing pixel from a read digital image, a filter 102 for inputting the noticing pixel and the peripheral pixels and eliminating noise of the noticing pixel and a first coefficient selector 105 which selects a filter coefficient of the filter 102 from a first coefficient memory 104 based on a pattern of binary data which is tentatively judged and inputs the filter coefficient in the filter 102, the noise by interference received from the peripheral pixels is eliminated by performing filtering according to the pattern of the surrounding binary data by the filter 102.
