PORTABLE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR CONNECTING AND PLAYING MULTI-FILES

A portable terminal having a function of connecting/reproducing plural multimedia files and a method thereof are provided to individually decode separately generated multimedia files(image files) to sequentially connect the decoded files according to time information included in each file so as to generate one integrated multimedia file, thereby improving the convenience of a user when the user views images. Time information is allocated to multimedia files. The multimedia files allocated with the time information are stored(301). A connection/reproduction request signal for the plural multimedia files is received(302). The selected plural multimedia files are connected together according to the time information allocated to each file, to generate one multimedia file(303,304). The generated multimedia file is reproduced(305).
