The spindle, in a machine tool center for cutting workpieces, is held in a slide for advance movement with a radial hydrostatic bearing within a bush (72). The bearing is sealed (102) on at least one side, in the axial direction, with a low-friction axial seal (106). The seal is subjected to compressed air, and rotates with the spindle. A further seal (92) is at the end side of the spindle with a low friction seal (96). Both seals also have radial seals (94,104). |
