<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the operability is low when adding a message "blank as below" to an unfilled field in a form. <P>SOLUTION: An input image memory 21 stores image data read by a read part 1, and a ruled line detection part 321 generates a ruled line information list by detecting ruled line information of read image from the image data stored in the input image memory. A form estimation part 322 estimates a type of a document on the basis of the ruled line information list generated by the ruled line detection part 321 and specifies a cut-out position of the read image. An image editing part 323 cuts out an image of an outer frame portion including entries in a margin part of the read image, in accordance with the cut-out position estimated by the form estimation part and edits an output image wherein message "blank as below" is added to an unfilled field estimated from the read image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
