OPENING AND CLOSING CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing control method having a nipping preventing function capable of offering both a high sensitivity and a high accuracy which are compatible with each other.

SOLUTION: In the opening and closing control method having a nipping preventing function by making judgements for signals (S) detected by a sensor based on threshold values (1), the threshold values (1) are set as offset values of reference values (A) for control and are updated in alignment with the values of detected signals (S) of the sensor in an initial stage of the control and, at the same time, the reference values (A) are altered in proportion to a variation in continuous changes made within a specific period of time in a range wherein the detected signals (S) of the sensor do not exceed the threshold values (1).
