NEW MICROORGANISM HAVING DIOXIN-DECOMPOSING FUNCTION

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose dioxins having high toxicity, detoxify the dioxins contained in environment and isolate a new decomposing microorganism decomposing the dioxins having high toxicity.

SOLUTION: The dioxins having high toxicity can be decomposed by a recombinant microorganism obtained by constructing a protein expression system by using bacteria belonging to the genus Rhodococcus as a host and introducing a group of the genes of biphenyl-decomposing enzymes.
