<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve remote visibility in a light distribution pattern of a headlight for a vehicle and to perform switching of the light distribution pattern at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The headlight for the vehicle is provided with a lamp 110 provided with a shade switching means 140 for obtaining a desired light distribution pattern by shielding a part of a light emitted from a light source; a light distribution pattern switching control means for controlling the shade switching means 140 when instruction for switching the light distribution pattern of the lamp is received; and a levelling means 130 for deflection-controlling an optical axis of the lamp in a vertical direction. When the light distribution pattern switching control means receives switching instruction to the light distribution pattern of "a remote visibility beam", it controls the shade switching means 140 so as to make a cut line get to the same height as a cut line of a high beam and controls the levelling means 130 such that the cut line gets to the height of a cut line required for "a middle beam". <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
