<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method enabling the generation of output information having no overlapping among original information, updated information and postscript information and facilitating grasping correlation of the information. <P>SOLUTION: In generating the output information including the postscript information and the updated information of original documents, the correlation between the postscript information and the original information and the correlation between the information are analyzed to execute layout processing for updating the arrangement of each of the information. Overlapping of the original information and the postscript information is solved, and a plurality of items of information judged to have high correlation is closely arranged in movement of information (object).
