The SMS gateway receives the delivered sending request from SMSC. The length of the text message and the network property of the received terminal are confirmed in response to the sending request. The delivery style to the received terminal of the text message is determined. The SMS gateway comprises the, message length calculation unit, and caller identifier confirmation device and delivery style decision unit.
