PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device capable of easily configuring an airbag that can be deployed and inflated to be smoothly curved along a peripheral edge of an accommodation region even if the airbag is mounted in front of a front passenger's seat.SOLUTION: An airbag 11 of an airbag device is configured so that, when inflation gas flows in the airbag, the airbag is deployed and inflated with an attachment section 15 to an accommodation region remaining undeployed and uninflated, tethers 35 and 37 to restrict a separation distance between wall sections 13 and 14, which face each other, of a peripheral wall 12 when inflation is completed, and outer edges 13a and 14a of the wall sections facing each other are coupled with each other. The airbag is configured so that, when the inflation is completed, the wall section 14 is made along an upper surface of an instrument panel in rear of the accommodation region and a tip end portion 11b of the upper wall section 13 is provided rearward to be away from the instrument panel. The airbag is formed by connecting the outer edges of the wall sections to each other in a state where a tack 20 having pleats 21 and 22 along the horizontal direction is provided between the tethers 35 and 37 of the upper wall section 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
