The refrigerator has a fan (6) including a signal output (13) for providing an output signal representing a moving distance of a blower of the fan. The output signal is supplied to a control circuit (8) e.g. microprocessor system, for operating a compressor (3) based on the output signal. The control circuit switches off the compressor when the output signal displays the moving distance of the blower. The output signal oscillates when the moving distance of the blower is adequate. An oscillation frequency of the output signal is a representative for a rotational frequency of the blower. |
