PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt device capable of preventing the scattering of toner in seal members and a pressure member provided in the end parts of a cleaning member to be abutted to a belt.SOLUTION: A transfer belt device 4 includes: an endless intermediate transfer belt 16 for carrying an image or paper P to which an image is transferred; a pressure member 31 to be abutted to the width-directional end parts of the intermediate transfer belt 16; and a cleaning blade 26 abutted to the intermediate transfer belt 16 so as to clean the front surface. The transfer belt device includes seal members 33 provided at one end or both of the ends of the cleaning blade 26 in the width direction of the intermediate transfer belt 16. Inner end surfaces 26a are provided on the inner side of the intermediate transfer belt 16. An exposure area is set on the inner side of both of the ends of the intermediate transfer belt 16 in the width direction of the intermediate transfer belt 16. The pressure member 31 and the seal members 33 are provided on the outside of an image area C where an image is formed and on the outside of the exposure area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
