PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment method constituted so as to reduce cost and an installation area by directly supplying sewerage wastewater containing heavy metal ions to an RO membrane or an NF membrane or supplying the primarily treated water thereof to the membrane without performing treatment such as sedimentation and separation treatment or the like and enabling desired advanced treatment by a simple system, and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: In the water treatment method and the apparatus therefor, wastewater containing heavy metal ions or the primarily treated water thereof is used as raw water and this raw water is directly supplied to an internal pressure type hollow fiber separation membrane comprising an internal pressure type hollow fiber reverse osmosis membrane or an internal pressure type hollow fiber nano-filtration membrane to reduce the concentration of heavy metal ions.
