A hexagonal shaft (4) is guided through matching central openings (8,9,10,11) in a first disk (6), the second plate (2), a second disk (7), and the first plate (1). The disks (6, 7) and circular areas at the plates (1,2) are provided with complementary inclined segments (2.1,6.1) engaging or being released when a lever (5) attached to one end of the shaft (4) is moved. The position of the backrest can be adjusted as required.
