PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box direction changing device, without requiring a driving system for changing the direction. SOLUTION: This box direction changing device has a conveyor 4 carrying a box 2, a baffle part 1 arranged in a box carrying passage by the conveyor 4, and first and second guides 3 and 3' arranged on the first and second sides (a and b) of the conveyor 4 and guiding the box 2 carried by the conveyor 4. The box 2 rotates by 90 degrees around the vertical axis with respect to a carrying surface of the conveyor 4 by butting a part of the box 2 carried by the conveyor 4 against the baffle part 1, and the baffle part 1 is constituted of a curved surface in a part 13 capable of contacting with the box 2. The second guide 3' includes a part curved toward the second side (b) so as to allow the box 2 to rotate by 90 degrees by butting a part of the box carried by the conveyor 4 against the baffle part 1.
