PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure partial discharge start voltage at an insulation layer of insulated wire across the entire length of the insulated wire.SOLUTION: A partial discharge measuring method includes: a traveling step of having insulated wire with an insulation layer on the surface travel; a voltage applying step of having an electrode connected with a power source come into contact with the insulation layer of the traveling insulated wire, and applying prescribed test voltage to the insulation layer while having the insulated wire travel; a detection step of detecting a signal at or above a threshold value as a partial discharge signal among signals caused by partial discharge occurring in the insulation layer due to the application of the test voltage; and a determination step of determining the occurrence frequency of partial discharge at the test voltage on the basis of a result in the detection step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
