摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst electrode that is excellent not only in adhesion of a photocatalyst layer but also in current collection property and to provide a method for manufacturing the photocatalyst electrode.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a photocatalyst electrode comprises a step of coating a composition for forming a photocatalyst layer including a first photocatalyst particle produced by a liquid phase method and a second photocatalyst particle produced by a solid phase method on a transparent electrode of a substrate with a transparent electrode layer and a step of subjecting a substrate with a transparent electrode layer coated with the composition for forming a photocatalyst layer to calcination treatment. The first photocatalyst particle has a peak particle diameter of 20-200 nm and the second photocatalyst particle has a peak particle larger than the peak particle diameter of the first photocatalyst particle by 400 nm or more. The first photocatalyst particle and the second photocatalyst particle each independently are one kind selected from the group consisting of an oxide, a nitride, a sulfide, an oxynitride and an oxysulfide.
