Compounds shown by formula (3): (in the formula, R1 represents a C1-C6 perfluoroalkyl group, R2 represents a C1-C6 alkyl group, and m represents any integer of 0-3) or salts thereof which are useful as production intermediates of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals can be produced by reacting an alkali metal salt or zinc salt of a C1-C6 perfluoroalkanesulfinic acid and a 2-aminophenol optionally substituted by 1-3 C1-C6 alkyl groups or a salt thereof in the presence of an oxidant.
