PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of cavitation erosion in a high-pressure pump of an in-cylinder injection type engine.SOLUTION: An ECU 32 calculates an F/D (feedback) control amount on the basis of deviation between actual fuel pressure which is detected by a fuel pressure sensor 29 and target fuel pressure, and performs fuel-pressure F/B control for correcting a discharge amount of a high-pressure pump 14 by using the F/B control amount. At this time, by determining whether or not a proportional of the F/B control amount is not smaller than a proportional guard value, it is predicted whether or not the discharge amount of the high-pressure pump 14 exceeds a discharge amount of a low-pressure pump 12. When it is predicted that the discharge amount of the high-pressure pump 14 exceeds the discharge amount of the low-pressure pump 12, the F/B control amount is limited by limiting the proportional of the F/B control amount by the proportional guard value, and discharge-amount limit control for limiting the discharge amount of the high-pressure pump 14 so as not to exceed a prescribed value (for example, the discharge amount of the low-pressure pump 12) is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
