PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for current detection with extremely small power loss, by simple circuitry.SOLUTION: A motor drive controller 1 includes a phase current detection circuit 10 generating a DC voltage signal S3 proportional to the phase currents flowing through armature coils Lv, Lw, an inverter circuit 2 and a pre-driver 3 for driving a motor 20 by applying a voltage to each phase thereof, and a control section 4 for controlling them. The phase current detection circuit 10 is constituted of a series connection of a resistor R1 and a capacitor C1, and includes a RC series circuit 5 that is connected in parallel with the armature coils Lv, Lw constituting the phases of the motor 20, and a filter circuit 7 for smoothing a voltage signal S2 based on the voltage signal S1 across the capacitor C1, and generates a DC voltage signal S3 proportional to the phase current flowing through armature coils Lv, Lw, before being inputted to the control section 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
