A system and a method for providing a user preference broadcasting service are provided to supply preference broadcasting services individually to users and supply information about preference broadcasting to the user in real-time. A preference broadcasting information receiving unit(310) receives preference broadcasting information from a user. A search data providing unit(320) provides audio characteristic data for search by using the received preference broadcasting information. A broadcasting receiving unit(330) receives broadcasting data. An audio signal extracting unit(340) extracts an audio signal from the received broadcasting data. An audio data searching unit(350) determines whether the audio characteristic data correspond to the extracted audio signal. A preference broadcasting service providing unit(360) provides the preference broadcasting service to the user according to the determined result.
