A contact and an electric connector are provided to solve a problem that a contact fabricated by blanking and bending a metal plate should be bent six or more times to have a structure in which one contact has a counterpart contact and moves to follow a movement of the counter contact, so the productivity is low. A pair of contact arms(2,3) are placed between both sides of contacts(1) which face each other in a facing direction(Y). A platy support(4) supports the pair of contact arms. A pair of elastic portions(5,6) are bent from both sides of the facing direction of the support, extend along a face substantially perpendicular to the facing direction, and support the corresponding support in the corresponding facing direction through elastic deformation. A fixing unit(7), to which the opposite side of the support of the pair of elastic portions is combined, is mounted on a circuit board. The fixing unit combines the pair of elastic portions and includes a soldering connection portion(75) connected by soldering to the circuit board.
