FLAME RETARDANT RUBBER-MODIFIED STYRENE RESIN COMPOSITION

A flame resistant resin composition based on a rubber-modified styrene resin is provided to realize excellent flame resistance, weather resistance and impact resistance, to prevent defects in appearance under various molding conditions, and to allow application to light-colored office instruments and TV housings. A flame resistant resin composition based on a rubber-modified styrene resin comprises: (a) 100 parts by weight of a rubber-modified styrene-based copolymer; (b) 3-10 parts by weight of non-endcapped brominated epoxy compound as a flame retardant; (c) 0.5-10 parts by weight of a supplementary flame retardant; and (d) 0.5-5 parts by weight of an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene resin. The rubber-modified styrene-based copolymer comprises rubbery polymer particles dispersed on a matrix comprising a copolymer of a vinyl aromatic polymer or vinyl aromatic compound with a copolymerizable compound.
