PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition exhibiting sufficient ameliorating effects on skin conditions and having excellent stability. SOLUTION: The cosmetic composition is characterized by formulating the following ingredients (A) and (B): the ingredient (A): one or more acyl compounds represented by general formula (1) äwherein, X is a spacer having m hydroxy groups, amino groups or thiol groups (e.g. L-lysine); Q is an N-acylated acidic amino acid residue; n is an integer of 2-20; and m is an integer and m≥n} and the ingredient (B): one or more nonionic surfactants having 10-20 HLB.
