PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shogi game which anyone immediately can play at a glance. SOLUTION: An alphabetically lettered shogi comprises shogi pieces each having a letter showing the direction of a move and the number of columns covered by a move by the angle of a linear section constituting the letter shown on the individual piece.
