PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for immortalizing a cell with a finite life span without depending a species and cell type, cell lines being produced from various primary cells with the method.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method and vector, which is independent from a cell type, using at least one gene of each of at least two of the categories of a gene promoting a BMP signaling activation for gene immortalization; a gene involved in pluripotency maintenance; or a gene promoting cell cycle progression. The invention also relates to a cell or cell line produced using the method or vector, and the use of the cell or cell line in in vitro applications and in the treatment of disease.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
