[Class 53] An accumulator container is divided into compartments by a partition 4 which passes through slots in the walls of the container as shown in plan in Fig. 3. A liquidtight joint may be made by cementing the partition to the container where it passes through the slots and by covering the projecting portions of the partition by celluloid strips 5 cemented to the container. At the bottom of each compartment is a plate 8 having electrode supports 9. The edges of the plates 8 extend upwardly above the slots in the container. The partition is reinforced by angular strips 10 and by a bar 12 which is grooved to embrace the upper end of the partition and extends through the sides of the container where it is secured to an insulating ring surrounding the container.
