PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine with high accuracy whether or not a wheel including a run-flat tire is in a run-flat state. SOLUTION: A wheel state acquiring device 100 is applicable to a vehicle 10 having a wheel 14 including a wheel 16 and a run-flat tire 18 enabling the run-flat travel when the air pressure is dropped, and comprises an acceleration sensor 23 to detect the vibrating state of the wheel 14, and a traveling condition determination unit 31 to determine whether or not the wheel 14 is in a run-flat state based on the detected value of the acceleration sensor 23. The acceleration sensor 23 is integrated with a TPMS valve 20. The TPMS valve 20 is mounted on the wheel 16 so that the vibration is amplified by the resonance with the wheel 14 when the wheel 14 is in a run-flat state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
