<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of forming a tear line in the skin of an instrument panel of automobiles manufactured by adhering a skin material formed by adhering, to a base member, a foam layer to a skin in an airbag door formed integrally with the instrument panel. <P>SOLUTION: A tear line 8 at a door base member portion 4c is formed in double Y-shapes 8a, 8b. The adhesive force of a foam layer 12 to a door base member portion 4c is so set that the foam layer is not peeled off when the door base member portion 4c is broken and expanded. The adhesive force of the foam layer 12 to the skin portion of the skin material corresponding to the door base member portion 4c is so set that the foam layer is not peeled off from the skin portion at the time of breakage. The tear line-less skin portion is broken by a tension to the skin portion of approximately 0.7 mm in thickness which is concentrated to the breakage area 12c of the foam layer 12 broken following the stretching of the door base member portion 4c. The degree of foaming and the thickness of the foam layer are set to approximately 15 times and approximately 2 mm, respectively so that the predetermined expanded shape of the airbag body can be provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
