<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that since it is difficult for a user who is not familiar with operations of electronic equipment to select an arbitrary program through EPG (Electronic Program guide) when selecting the program from a program table displayed on a TV screen through EPG, the user confirms program columns of newspaper etc., by himself and selects the program through a remote controller etc. <P>SOLUTION: A remote controller comprises a selecting means which fixes electronic paper which contains program columns and has a touch panel, a character and region recognizing means of recognizing characters of character information described in the electronic paper and also recognizing position information on the characters, an EPG acquiring means of acquiring EPG data, a channel recognizing means of recognizing channel information by using the character information and the position information on the characters recognized by the character and region recognizing means, the EPG information acquired by the EPG acquiring means, and the touch panel of the selecting means, and a transmitting means of transmitting a remote control signal instructing change to the channel recognized by the channel recognizing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
