PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calcium-bound luminous protein which can detect luminescence in better sensitivity.

SOLUTION: The protein comprises a protein containing an amino acid sequence represented by a specific sequence originated from a light-emitting jellyfish, Clytia gregarium, and has a function of forming a holoprotein which is bound to the peroxide of coelenterazine or coelenterazine derivative to emit light by the action of calcium ion. And a polynucleotide containing a polynucleotide encoding the protein.
