PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery capable of maintaining and exhibiting excellent battery characteristics over a long term, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a lithium secondary battery is provided. The manufacturing method includes a step of preparing a positive electrode having a positive-electrode mixture layer, a negative electrode having a negative-electrode mixture layer, and a nonaqueous electrolyte, and a step of housing the positive electrode and negative electrode and nonaqueous electrolyte in a battery case. The nonaqueous electrolyte contains lithium sulfate. When the BET specific area of the negative-electrode mixture layer is X (m/g), and the addition amount of lithium sulfate to the total amount of the nonaqueous electrolyte is Y (mass%), following relationship is satisfied: 3≤X≤4.3;0.02≤Y≤0.1;(Y/X)≤0.023.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
